Our Marmorino Process
Every Marmorino installation follows a meticulous multi-step process to ensure a flawless, long-lasting finish.
Surface Preparation
We assess and prepare the substrate — repairing imperfections, priming, and ensuring a perfectly flat base for the plaster.
Base Coat Application
The first coat of Marmorino is applied by hand using a steel trowel, building up the foundational texture and colour.
Layering & Texture
Multiple thin coats are applied in overlapping strokes, creating the characteristic depth and movement of authentic Venetian plaster.
Burnishing & Polish
The final coat is burnished with a polished steel trowel to compress the surface and bring out the natural marble-like sheen.
Sealing & Protection
A natural wax or sealer is applied to protect the finish and enhance its lustre — the final touch on a truly handcrafted surface.
